I heard recently a female actor refusing to appear in a movie, which included nudity, even though she was not nude. She said she was a role model? Is nudity evil?

There are people that go just a tad over board with nudity. I guess it all depends on the taste level, and even then it comes down to poor taste. Evil should be left to actions of misconduct, murder, hypocracy, etc... People are just not realizing the importance of correct word placement. What ever happened to proper English?

There is an asumption that nudity is sex.The question is what are the sorrounding issues with the role of nudity.
Nudism is a non sexual activity,but to play a "nude"/"naked" role in a movie is an exibition of the body and overall poor taste.

I think possibly instead of the good/evil arguement, that she might be trying to teach young women they can make it without compromising. In that case, I applaud her. I think that's refreshing in a society where a woman will bare her breasts for a 2 cent strand of plastic beads.
I think it's amazing how everyone jumped on this as a religious subject. I mean, the woman couldn't have had any other reason?

This is primarily a creation of the Judea-Christian religions. It is just another facet of their fundamental precept that if something may be enjoyable, it is prohibited.
While sight of the obese, the aged and the ugly may be cause offence, nudity can never be described as evil.
This is another manifestation of mankind's institutions believing that they know better than nature.

if she believes in something and wants to stand up for it rather than bow to public pressure which says she is nothing more than a backwards religious moron because of her belief, then good for her. whether she is right or wrong, she IS a role model, just for that refusal to cower.

No its not evil unless forced on people. Ie stripping off infront of kids and making them look at you

No. Nudity in public is an infringement on my rights to not see your sorry *** naked. Keep your clothes on, if my kids see that ****, your going to make me upset and I'll throw you in jail. Nothing worse that a showoff.
