I believe she is free to speak her mind, no matter how sophmoric they may be. Hey, it sells books, does it not?

I think people need to spend more time ignoring her instead of giving the attention she so desperately needs to cash in.

Unfortunately, she is a bigoted moron with a public voice and the ability to pass her ridiculous thoughts and opinions on to the next generation of bigoted morons.

That being said, I agree with you. It's not worth getting upset about. There will always be people like her in this world.

I love the way she talks: it shows conservatives for the bigoted, lying, compassionless people that they are! Anyway, I don't see why anyone is shocked, or for that matter, why they care. It has been proven without doubt that she lies consistantly and uses her endnotes in deceptive ways. If this idiot is deliberately distorting and downright mutilating the facts, doesn't that pretty much prove that all her ideas are garbage and even she has no faith in them? We need to stop paying attention to her altogether and maybe she'll go away.

I think because of her position, she has a responsibility to show at least a basic level of respect towards others. If we allow bashing this public to go ignored what message are we sending to the millions that heard about this? That it's ok to bash gays. We don't fight back. That's not the message I want to send to the people that push too many gay youth to suicide.

Its not so much about gay bashing as it is using a slur against a group of people in general. I was just as offended when she said "raghead" about the Middle Easterners and I'm caucasion.

well compare what she did with the guy from seinfeld who used the n word. he was publicly humiliated, issued a pubic apology, and went in to therapy. i think her remarks are just as insulting and her career should be over. but i guess it's still ok in america to make disparaging remarks about homosexuals.
