Simply put, never, if you think that letting go or moving on are the only way to "rid" yourself of a love lost, then you are truly losing all you created in the first place. It is just my opinion that, people get scared, they try to be something new that they weren't before. Why in God's name, would we just assume to forget everything someone meant to us? The sad part of life is that we have no way to know what is good for us. I like to think that I know what I want, and past relationships are just that, in the past. As the comments suggest, if you feel there is doubt, then that doubt is there for a reason, try not to question every little thing. In life, many variables make up our character, none so much as love, ask yourself...."Was it time to let go out of convenience, or was it necessity?"

Sometimes when your sure it's over, you have that talk and you find out you weren't really seeing the whole situation, their point of veiw...and the way they handle the problem might empress you so much that you fall in love again....but it's over if there is abuse....if there is too much pain you need to talk and figure out if you both think it's worth it ,what comprimises your willing to make to fix it and if you have enough love to try at all..if you see a terrible future starting to rear it's ugly head, such as anger problems..you can't let that slide..

I think like my relationship. When he is being more and more selfish by just thinking about himself and what he likes to do without even considering the other person. When he is being way more uncommunicative, and unresponsive to what you need to know.....

When you know that it is not right. Don't play with the other person's feelings by stringing them along. It will hurt them now, but the longer you wait, the more it will hurt.
