For me Ares is the best Only download what most people are using at the time even if takes longer. But ofcourse virus is always a possiblity

be warned tho. make sure when you use any of these type of sites.
1 your not illegally downloading :-o
2 you have a bloody good antivirus software
3 you have a bloody good spyware prog.
. Avast home edition is good free anti virus program
Spybot and Adware two progs worth getting.
Also try Asquared.
always remember to update and run these . keeps you pc safe and not bunged up with crap.
good tip. if you download files. keep them in a folder and scan them before you open them.

Limewire is good software i still use it to this day. I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. If you are looking for a good peer to peer software to download music, softwares/programs and videos you should get limewire too.
It's a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. It does not matter what P2P program you use, you always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

I use Soulseek a free file sharing program you can download. I tried Bearshare but it has loads of spyware and adware.

for individual songs try www.seekasong.com or www.mp3arena.com . these seem to be pretty virus free although take caution. mp3 arena suggests some album sites but most of these are full of virusus so beware.

well, im using SHAREAZA p2p but be sure that you have an anti-virus installed and of course running and updated. You can try also www.IMEEM.com if you want your own playlist or any genre that you like and record it into your mp3 recorder.
