using steroids?

I always hear about steroids being abused by athletes and bodybuilders, and I know that athletes and bodybuilders use them, so are they safe to use if you take them accordingly

The role of steroids in the body is basically to boost up the vital anabolic functions of some systems of the body. But in healthy body, the secretion and functions of steroids are strictly regulated by some body protective mechanism so that it does not harm other body functions or systems.

In medical science, steroids are used with cautions for emergency management and in some diseases and conditions. Contraceptive pills for women are also steroids and they have also some side effects that are tallied with the benefits of using the steroid contraceptives.

But it is not at all wise to use steroids for any condition which is not much important for life. Because, the harms of using steroids are sometimes irreversible. And as far I guess, body building is not a life saving issue for a healthy person.

Long term use of steroids has proven to cause cancer...So, if you think the risk is not a big deal...?...Also, some of the more minor side effects are not all that good...Men and women who use steroids tend to take on physical characteristics of the opposite gender...

Men-often eventually get breasts like women

Women-often get hair in places usually a man gets, i.e. facial hair...

Personally, I wouldn't do it...

The long term side effects greatly outweigh any short term benefits you might get.

hairloss
estrogen increase in males (to balance the testosterone overload)
enlargement of the male breasts
and worst of all shrinking of the male genitals (you will want something to impress your wife with on the honeymoon.)

depends what you mean accordingly, if you mean injecting testosterone into your behind then no....stay clear, do it the hard way not the easy way - you can always tell someone who uses or has used roids....
