A while ago they were looking for people to appear in one of David Gray's music Videos an' there was a number you could call an' they'd take down your details etc. I never got the chance but thought it'd be really cool to see if there was a way I could that at least once but maybe for a Carreer. Are there any companies that do that or is it just hit an' miss?

Usually people who perform in music videos are paid extras, actors, dancers or models. Quite which category they fall into depends on the nature of the role and the skills required. There are loads of agencies out there who take applications for background artists and extras. It is worth contacting a few and seeing if they do music videos and what experience they are looking for. You may find an extras agency takes you on- you may not get music videos but you could get on TV or film.
This is a busy cut throat industry and you cannot expect to work simply because you have signed up or sent in your details. Each agent will have a specific set of rules and their own way of working.
Have a look at http://www.equity.org.uk , http://www.starnow.co.uk and http://uk.castingcallpro.com/. Do a google search too and you may find useful links as there are loads out there.
JUST BEWARE - NEVER EVER pay to join an agency. They will require a decent casting photograph and will normally expect you pay for this either through them or a private arrangement with you and a photographer.
I hope this helps.

they are There because they are only like the Props Kinda Their in reality There to Make The Video more suitable interesting, even as the genuine Rapper/Singer Sings or Raps. Plus They receives a fee too And more suitable human beings Watch The Video because it Has Like A well-known guy In It And The well-known guy receives Paid For Being on the Video. in case you said A Hobo With Like Miley Cyrus another well-known man or woman on You Tube does no longer you want to observe The Video because of the well-known man or woman? yet when It became in reality a Hobo it may be Kinda boring.

My favourite band needed 150 extras for their next video shoot, I was lucky enough to be one of the first 150 to apply and got in, hasn't been filmed, a date hasn't even been set yet.. but I'm quite excited since it's my favourite band.

I'm not sure how you get to be an actor who focuses on being in music videos, I always thought the people in the videos were normal actors (besides the dancers) who had the look the video was going for and that's why they were chosen.

the only thing is to have courage to stand out there and not ask questions to much, rock stars were not born rock stars they had to go through the same as what you are going through right now asking the if and but when were and how if you write music and play it then you are 85% there and then you will need a good publisher. if they like you and you have the appeal. or perhaps you wanted to have it on your c.v. that you were a rock star that will not work at all.
