The fastest century in test cricket was scored by IVA Richards of West Indies, who scored century in 56 balls against England in the 5th Test of the Wisden Trophy 1985/86 series played at
Antigua Recreation Ground, St. John's, Antigue which was played from 11th to 16th April, 1986. He scored 110 runs in the West Indies 2nd Innings in 58 balls with the help of 7 fours and 7 sixers.

Fastest century in ODI was scored by Shahid Afridi of Pakistan.
He scored 100 runs in 37 Balls in the 6th Match of KCA Centntenary Tournament 1996/97 played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi.
