I work with a load of "stiffs". 99.9 per cent of conversation is work related. I'm off to slit my wrists and hope for a quick death. Have a nice life.

I don't work in an office but I'm still bored stiff with the conversation, I'm a carer and the chat around the hot lock seems to be about holidays, men/women (we have male carers none of whom are gay), children, the soaps, their nights out and yes ... work and with the exception of the last one, I find that kind of stuff utterly stifling. Not one of them had seen the lunar eclispe the other night and equally, none of them were in the least interrested in knowing about it. I'd say out of all my colleagues, it's the three men with whom I work who give me the most stimulating conversations. They're quite happy to talk about computers and science, I suppose its a relief for them to have someone who doesn't want to only talk about the latest conquests in Albert Square; not that I know if there are any at the moment, I'm quite impressed that I saw Pauline's demise at Christmas but that's just because I wanted to watch the programme that was on after it and caught the last couple of minutes.

Your'e lucky it's confined to work, my husband comes home and never stops moaning about the place he works in. Okay, I can cope with 15 minutes of it, but he goes on and on and never stops moaning. I should be the one to slit my wrists, i have to live with it!

We don't talk shop in the office. We're currently discussing Rachel Steven's tips on how to get a man in this weeks Heat. Ridiculous to say the least......stuff like 'always apply mascara to the lashes..' I mean where else are you going to put mascara..? What a retard that girl is!!!!

Totally...I mean I understand that its an office and that's what we get paid to do...but oh my gosh,.... there is more to life...and then.... then we go out for a drink after work...and what do they talk about....Nooooo...not the sexy hunk standing at the bar but ......you guessed it ..... work!!!!
