It's smart to ask a lot of questions when you are considering who to use for your vasectomy reversal. My husband had one last year (we're pregnant now) and it went well. We asked lots of questions of the docs before we decided who to use.

Probably of the most important things to consider is if the doc uses microsurgical techniques, and how many VR he or she does. You want someone who does a lot, it's a very small tube their working with and they need lots of practice. Don't go with the urologist in town, use a specialist. Here's more about what to consider: http://myvasectomyreversal.com/how-to-choose-a-vasectomy-reversal-surgeon/56/

Probably the most "famous" Vasectomy reversal doc is Dr. Sibler
http://www.infertile.com/, who has done a lot of the pioneering research and supposedly has a great success rate. But there are lots of other good docs around, and many cost a lot less.

Good luck with your decision!

I had a vasectomy once. I saw Dr Kline and he did a batch lot with a group of my friends that week in his day surgery.

He made an incision in the form of the letter "K" ... on my scotum... and I suspect he must have watched a lot of the zorro tv series as a child....

Anyway, it wasnt too pleasant. First he gave me some morphine to calm me down I suppose. Then he got a local anasthetic in a syringe and jabbed it into my left testicle. That really hurt. I thought thank heavens that is over... but then he said "one more ... you will feel a little prick".. I was thinking the same thing at the time... it had shrivelled up like a turtle neck. After he punctured the right testicle, he got right into carving his initials.

I don't think I have the courage for a reversal. You should see Dr Kline, or someone just like him... but ask for a general aenesthetic..... the procedure is apparently simple enough id the doc that did yours left enough length in the tubes....

Good luck. Hope I haven't put anyone off having a vasectomy... but whatever you do.. don't look down when they are sticking that needle in your nuts.

For sure child birth is the easier option.

Vasectomy reversal is possible by surgery.Once the duct is joined reproduction is restored. It does not take much time in Hospitals.Normally all infertility clinics/family planning clinics will do it.As regards Hospitals this surgery is cheapest in India. Many Hospitals in India are of world class and offer this surgery at remarkably low cost.
