Time may be understod and defined as a measure of change or motion. When we use "time" it is always in relation to how long it takes A to cross space B, or how long it takes X to become Y. If this is the case then time has no existence in itself. It would be likened to height or width. One cannot go out and touch or see height as it itself. One may touch an object whose physical height we may measure, but in that sense we do not measure height as possessing existence in itself. This is why time has often been called a "form" or a mode of existence. Time is a system of measurement and we have agreed to the relationship of the Earth to the Sun as the standard.
If you think about our measurements of time, they are all either divisions of extensions of a year, that is the change of the Earth in relation to the Sun. Just as we may say that the mile is our standard of measurement and all others are a division or an extension of it. An inch then is not something that exists "out there" but rather is a mental tool of measurement of a form of an object. An inch exists only in the mind while the actual distance of an inch exists in reality. There is a real difference between a measurement and the thing measured. Hence Time does not exist in itself, but rather as a measurement of motion which exists as a quality of an object or body.

A day is determined by the rotation of the earth. A month by the cycle of the moon around the earth and a year by the cycle of earth's rotation of the sun. The clock and calendar only reflects these cycles in a way we can all understand and relate to.

time is definitely real and as the saying goes, everything changes, I think when one questions whether time exists boils down to a question of grammar and then it's just that the word time is man made, as well as it's measurement in minutes and hours but yes, time exists

time is a real thing but everything experiences it at a different rate. our concept of time is what we have created to maximize our efficiency at being controlled by others. that is a purely human concept.
a stone has a longer 'concept' of time, as a fruitfly probably experiences a full range of every possible insect development within its limited time. A fruitfly would have no care for what we refer to as time. Just as a child experiences time differently and you probably experience time differently based upon your amount of interest in what you are doing. time is a relative thing.

this is very true time is a man made concept used to measure and control our daily lives. Things would be so much more simple if we did all go by natural daylight as timing

They use to be able to tell the time through shadows on like a compass looking thing.
I like the idea of black oclock and blue oclock. But blue oclock gets longer when the sun is hotter.

You forgot the grey o'clock for the most days of the year, the white o'clock for when you can't see blue sky, the red, purple, and orange o'clocks for between black and blue/grey/white o'clocks.

well time is real, but the measurement of it in hours and minutes is human made. There are day, night and seasons which are natural time measurement
