With this latest arrest, the Kings are already saying they don't want him, and will probably deal away with him after the ruling and all that mess. I know he is a desent basketball player, but this is enough. I am sick of all these athletes that make millions of dollars a year, and make the league look like a bunch of thugs on the bad side of town. Now, most NBA players are not like
Artest, but it seems like every single week or so there is another player that gets arested or has DUI or something to that nature. The NFL is thinking about adopting a 3 strikes policy. The NBA should as well. The league has a REAL BAD image problem, that needs to be fixed immediately, get these Artest, Stephen Jackson's off the basketball court, because they will just keep seeing the court room. So, if Artest's does not go to jail for a couple of years for this, will he get signed by another team, and if he does how long before he does something stupid again?

Unfortunately, he'll be back. some team will be desperate enough to sign him. Because of the way people put these athletes on a pedestal he'll likely see no jail time. What makes me laugh and sad at the same time is that there will be tons of idiots out there making excuses for him and ignoring his crimes. Right & wrong are seriously blurred nowadays.

I"m not going to say Ron is blameless because he is not. Without knowing all of the facts I can already safely say he is guilty of extremely poor judgement.

Like I said in another question about Artest. I've met him before, I was at the 1997 McDonald's All American game. Its not like I just shook his hand for 5 seconds and walked the other way. I hung out with for a few hours and I saw him off and on at the media events for a couple of days. He was extremely nice to me and alot of the players were nice, but he was the most down to earth.

I honestly believe he is a good guy at heart that just needs to make an effort to get some professional counseling and look into possibly getting on some medication.

Also I can tell no one responding has a lot of knowledge how domestice disturbances work. Things like this are all to common. It doesn't mean Artest hit her, it doesn't mean he even assaulted her. It could mean as little as she felt threatened. From the sounds of it more was involved, but you should wait for the facts to come out before you rush to judgement.

confident Melo could desire to be the shoe in for a starter except somebody else somewhat has a great first a million/2 of the season. Ron does have a raffle yet identity say itd be an exterior danger. watching him the previous year in Houston his activity has began to say no "extremely" form the place it replaced into. with a bit of luck with the Lakers the weeknesses isn't a situation with him. Now at SF yeah Durant could desire to submit sturdy numbers and now his hitting the section the place he could desire to be recognized. Marion back interior the West has a shot as Josh Howard going to visit SG. And that for the time of all probability helps Ron's possibilities as Josh is the extra advantageous scorer. T-Mac is going to be the wild card. He has his base of committed followers (I as a Rockets fan am actual not certainly one of them). And it somewhat is his FA year, no Yao no Ron. He could desire to submit great numbers because of fact he may be the convenience prize for the gang that loses out interior the LeBron/Bosh/Wade sweepstakes this coming offseason. identity positioned it at a 30% danger as their isn't a choose for huge offensive numbers from him. might somewhat see him making it then Tracy although. No celebrity for my Rockets to make the playoffs. And Delonte. Ive joked approximately him till now. not doing that now. it somewhat is getting to be a concerning situation with the guy. No joking rely now.

of course. he's troubled but talented at the same time. if the kings let him go, some team (probably a few teams) will try to acquire his services.

teams always hope or believe that a troubled player will change his ways in a different environment or whatever the case.

maybe artest just needs to get that job he wanted at best buy (or circuit city..was it?) as a rookie.

Ben Wallace looks more like a thug compared to Artest. Hyped bad image is whats people are driving nuts about Artest. He will play again because he deserves to play unlike some actual thugs in the league.

Common sense suggests that he will play again.

he will play again for sure!!! just look at Dennis Rodman from back a few years ago. All his troubles, he still remained in the game! One thing Artest wont be able to rely on if he doesnt play in the NBA again, and thats his rapping ;-) haha

Yes, I agree with you. He shouldn't be allowed to play. But if he avoids jail I think someone will sign him. I give him a year at the most before he has more legal problems.

Yes, he will play .... Jason Kidd did worse things with his wife and he is perfectly fine in NBA. Artest did an awful thing but let's not play in double standards.

Yeah, he probably will. He shouldn't, but he is too talented for some stupid GM not to take a chance on him.

he seems a good basketballer and even if he goes to jail there should be a team that might just need him. So it might not be over for him
