Put Masking tape up and paint diff colours!!! that is even sillier than asking this question (Good question mind!!)

Hi UK builder here, you can get paints that are made from different polymers and so one is heavier than the other so that they dont fully mix, so as you use the paint it makes a wash effect. If you are after a kind of stripe effect get a tester pot from B&Q about £2 and ask them not to put the pot in the shacker ( mix the base with the colour ) you then stir the paint to cause swerles when you dip in your brush you do get different shades, but you have to clean your brush out a lot. A painter did this on a wall of a show house with 3 colours, looked weird but it worked.

Go past the long weights, turn at the left handed screw drivers, keep going til you get to the skirting ladders. It's on the third shelf below tartan paint and above chevron paint.

They sure do. The Red and White stripes are best. But Blue and Yellow is quite nice also.
You will have to buy a special Paint brush or it will be a bit messy.
