No.... they are themselves ruled by the same set of universal laws that we are.... and no one has a clue as to where did those unexceptionable universal laws originate from. Anyone who claims to know better than that needs to be carefully dealt with.

Actually, in response to one poster: Astrology allows for the 9 "planets" (Pluto no longer counts as a planet, scientifically) as well as the sun and moon. In fact your "sign" is determined by the house the sun was in when you were born.
Anyhoo, no, the Sun Moon, and planets do not rule us. Especially if you put it in context of the universe. What then of other suns, moons, and planets? Asteroids? Comets? Etc...
It's a nice thought to be able to find some way to predict and control the randomness that is life. It's comforting. That's why people believe. It makes sense on an emotional level.
It is not true, though. There is no actual evidence to suggest it is.

Absolutely NOT! All planets, everything in this entire universe (and beyond?) was made by a Creator-God. He rules everything. He does give us, the human beings, free will, but the planets are lined up according to His will. Etc.

Certainly. Not only human beings, whole nature is being ruled by planets. The planet Sun, evaporates water from the sea and distribute it through-out the earth to help the farmers to sow the seeds. He is the basis for photosynthesis. Full moon day, tides rise to heights and on dark days waves recede. Moons' developments affect on the brain. We are seeing both planets with our eyes and experiencing it's influences. We can't see other planets with naked eyes, but they are having their influences too.
