She definitely was one of the most beautiful. Looking at her on her 75th birthday it is difficult to imagine, but in her Cleopatra days one really thought age will not be able to wither her or custom stale her infinite variety.

Yes. Her earlier movies, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Father of the Bride etc. show her at her best. I believe her only true rival to be Vivian Leigh in Gone With the Wind.

Not sure if she was the most beautiful woman, but she did have the most beautiful eyes. They were violet.
