My husband constantly comes into this section to ask silly questions or to give silly answers to the questions asked. He is not homosexual, nor does he dislike them. I believe he thinks it is funny and that he gets a good rise from people on this site when he does this. Before anyone tells me to stop him, I constantly tell him to stop and that he is being insulting but he continues to maintain he is being funny and enjoying himself. I obviously disagree with this. How do I make him understand that there are genuine people here who are not to be judged and that although many know he is being insulting and ignore him, that some may be upset by his actions?

Do it just like that. Although I cannot condone his actions, I can somewhat guess at them. He may be straight, and I may be gay, but we are both men. Men will sometimes always have a sophmorish sense of humour. I answer and ask questions sometimes just to get a rise as well. I admire you for knowing that what he does is ignorant, but you probably won't be able to change it. The people in this category will probably just continue to question his sexuality and make fun of him. One day someone will hit the sweet spot and get to him. That day you can have a great laugh at his expense.

"Don't ask the question if you don't want to know the answer". I have asked some serious questions on here and got some really good advice. And I have got some silly responses, but Im not offended because I only take heart to the good answers. So, let him have some fun. I appreciate your concern though!

Soxy, honey, we can handle ourselves, but thank you very much for your concern. If we see someone who is being insulting, nine out of ten of us just won't even answer the question. We're all adults here (well, most of us), even is some of us don't act like it.

As for what you say to your husband, just say that he might end up getting his feelings hurt if he offends the wrong person. I highly doubt he would enjoy himself then.

I have the same problem with my boyfriend, who spends an inordinate amount of time on Religion and Spirituality. If you find a solution, let me know.

If he is having fun and not harming anyone, what's the problem? Deep down, are you worried about his sexuality?
