Yes,its disgusting ,the law needed changing, but not in this way.

It should have been changed to stop bullies from threatening vulnerable people, instead they have made it worse.

It has been proved lots of bailiffs tell lies about what authority they have, and now the law has given them even more rights to intimidate people.

yes, but if you rent furnished accomodation, they wouldnt know which was your property or which was the landlords. and they would not care.this would then get the landlord up in arms and he would be against you, and want you out or to pay for the property the bailiffs have stolen.the more the unjust society gets the more it cant go to court and has to act like gangsters. the systems advertising methods are so good at luring people into debt that they created their own problems. how about bailiffs to closedown irresponsable lenders.anouther increase in bankruptsy will follow i am sure. Our rotton system is collapsing. by the way, nobody can legaly do this because our government and law are both in a state of treason and have been for years. its just that nobody has the bottle to arrest these traitors and bring them to justic, so britain suffers.

This is indeed the way the news appears to read. The problem is as with Security guards and Doormen, the problem of licensing. I think they will have to be regulated more and more, after all we may have burglars claiming to be bailiffs. I think this is a very retrograde step and it proves George Orwell was a greater visionary than most people realise.

I have not heard of any new law. Bailiffs, previously, were a real problem trying to force their way in the wrong house. I had to get the hammer out once. I was inches from attack, or he was inches from getting smashed. I had not way of knowing he was not an armed bandit. Some people have had the same problem with TV Licence Inspectors.

I'm afraid so...apparently it hasn't even been made clear as to whether or not anyone even has to be at home when they break in....and they can also take what they want to cover the debt and their expenses. Wonderful if they get the wrong house...

Another nail in the coffin for nu labour!

NO.they have to come the first time to make an assessment of what you have.then they will give you about a week to settle payment, then they can come back and take your goods.but if you have any sense, you would remove those goods before they get back.they cant take what you dont have.
