I still do not understand this of one of my women friends.

Because women can be devious creatures, and all women know this. If a woman left you and you're with another one, and she suddenly realises what she had and wants you back, the woman your with is afraid that you might go to her, since you did once care for her.
This is always the scenario women are afraid of, and rightfully so. Women cannot trust other women, unless they know them intimately. Fact, I'm sorry.

Hi,
Well that could have lots of answers actually, speaking as a woman and also having an X. Some women just like men feel territorial. Some still have some unresolved feelings or issues, or if it happens that it is the woman who got left she might still be in love with her x.
I am the woman who left her husband and we parted as friends.
I would love to see my x with someone who really made him happy and vica versa.
I have a child with my x and I will do anything to keep my child from feeling any sense of distress over being made to pick sides.
Speaking generally, they might be jealous over something simple as looks or age maybe even having some resentment towards anyone who can make someone they used to be with happier than they ever did. Noone can explain this completely without seeing this first hand or even without knowing the subjects personally . So after all the nonsense I just typed out , sorry ..lol...
I probably wasn't much help. You could always do what I do if I get curious as to why my friends act the way they do ....lol...I ask them directly if they are in love still or just being spiteful....Trust me it only offends them for a second and then they explain away.
Plus you have already answered your own question...lol...It does not matter if she is a friend of yours or not ..if she is a woman you will NEVER understand her....Good luck!

Because he won't stop talking about her or bringing her up in the conversation. Usually it has something to do with the man, especially if she has never met the woman. Time for him to start on some 'behavior change' unless he really is pining away for the ex ---this is usually why men won't stop talking about someone. Some of them are selfish and self-centered and never stop to think if their behavior or talk is affecting the person they are with....he might not be ready for a good relationship, or might want to stay stuck int he past, spending the rest of his life sorry that he didn't stay with the ex.....get rid of him, I say.

it depends on how attractive the ex is compared to her .... if the ex is more attractive then the women will be more jealous and also it depends on how much the guy talks about his ex - if ther is a lot of baggage between themand he needs to see her regulary.... because he has seen her naked and he has been intimate with her, if she isn't secure in her own body then naturally she is jealous

** AT TIMES, EX'S BEHAVE IN WAYS THAT THREATEN A MARRIAGE, NO MATTER HOW STABLE AND SOLID IT IS
** SOME WOMEN MAY SUPERIMPOSE THEIR LIFE EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER RELATIONSHIPS (ESPECIALLY IF A PREVIOUS LOVE CHEATED) ON NEW RELATIONSHIPS

i think she has self esteem and insecurity issues, she cant handle the fact that this woman at one point had an intimate and loving relationship with the man she is now with. subconsciously she feels that she has to be better than this woman in order to keep her man, so she becomes jealous of her and what she has due to the frustration of being continually in competition with her

Depends on how the guy talks about the ex... how he handles himself. guys get jealous too so its a 2 way thing.
