Sartoris was the name of a novel by William Faulkner. When I was much younger, I used the name for a Dungeons and Dragons character, because I thought it sounded cool. I know now that is has to do with tailoring clothes (unlike my D&D character), but I chose it because it kinda reminds me of my misspent youth, and the fact that while I am no longer a "youth" I still feel young. Great question!

you mean "Ysuran Maelstrom" ?
Simple, Ysuran is a very unique name (for me) and it's the name of my favorite character in an x-box game.
Maelstrom is like a violent situation. You see, there are times I am a very dangerous person, Hot-tempered, stubborn and just plain Arrogant.
Ysuran by the way, is like a very calm and mild-mannered person. Which I am sometimes.
Combining these two would tell a lot about myself and I kind of like the way it's very unique, I also have another Id ... "Calm and Wild"
My IDs tell about me, who I am, what I am feeling, what I love ... you know, just the way I am ...

I didnt choose it. the computer of yahoo answers chose it by scanning my name and choosing my first name and a initial for the second name. but since it is short and anonymous though the id is strange sounding i continued with it. persons generally choose a name either by default (auto generation by the computer) like me or choose a name which identifies with the personality which they either think they are or which they project to be.I
Its just an id in a virtual world and u can with the flick of a mouse destroy the id and create a new one. persons generally accept what is chosen for them being too lazy or not having the technical knowhow or project an alter ego - what they dream to be

Quest. I believe everyone is on a quest to find out their purpose in life. Some go through painful childhoods, depression, abuse, and then try to find a purpose for living. I had actually started with the word, "question", but then shortened it to "Quest".
