well i suppose it's the same thing as we are all going to die, but i would prefer to have a comfortable existance than spending my whole life being tortured

Hmmm....That's one issue where I can see both sides. On one hand you could use that exact same logic to justify the abuse of a person. Would you like to be treated poorly your entire life, just because you are going to die eventually anyways? On the other hand, they ARE chickens.
