My mums friend owns a Saint Bernard and he is excellent with children, other dogs, non-canine pets...everyone! The only thing bad about having a Saint Bernard around young children or toddlers is that the Saint Bernard is an extremely big dog. They MUST be supervised at all times when around young children.

St Bernards are very friendly, and great around kids. But they are quite large so I don't know if you would want to purchase one if you have a toddler.

I think they are a little large to have around toddlers. Although they would mean no harm, they would easily knock them over.
