I'm quite certain Kris Dielman coulda REALLY GOT PAID IF he had continued to shop his SKILL, YES SKILL, to other teams but he opted to re-sign with the Chargers
The entire starting five OL did.
Whatever the reason, if Norv can come in and NOT make things worse, the offense is INTACT and a year wiser.
Depending upon what they do as far as tightening up on D, they're still a good pick to go to the Super Bowl this '07-'08 season.

Dielman resigned because the Chargers are a great team and gives him the best chance of winning. That O-line works perfectly together and its why L.T. got 1800 yards rushing and 31 TDs. I think that A.J. Smith also knows that Dielman is very skilled and he needs him for the Chargers to have success.

The resigned, debatably, their best lineman, and he was the only one who could have left, short of someone retiring. So I think you are reading too far into it. But, they recognize that the running game is their future. LT will be very happy.

dielman was the only one who re-signed. the contracts of the others didn't expire. its just recognition of your best players and keeping the best possible team on the field.
