Absolutely.
One day, after the stud boyfriends cheat or treat girls like crap for the millionth time and girls finally decide to check themselves for their choice in men, the geek you're talking about would have gotten his braces off, traded in his huge glasses for ones more flattering for his face, grown into a pretty good body (even if he's not Hulk Hogan), built himself a nice career and treats his women better than you can imagine.
The guys you look at as geeks and dorks will one day in the near future grow up to be smart, gorgeous, accomplished men who make their women very happy and the women feel very appreciated. But by the time you see that, he would have moved on, gotten over his high school crushes, gained confidence and learned his worth.
If this is about a specific guy you're considering, give the guy a shot. He might turn out to be the best boyfriend you ever have. Don't overlook him. Spend time with him and you just might become more attracted to him. Give him a chance to show you his qualities. And if he's shy, give him time. It's worth it. Remember, the braces and huge glasses are temporary. His personality is not.
I'm in no way saying that all guys who are generally considered great-looking can't make good boyfriends. Plenty of them do. I'm just saying don't judge a book by it's cover and you might find yourself happier for having made that choice.

I wouldn't when I was in high school. But remember Bill Gates was a geek. Now I would if he were nice, intelligent, made a good income, and had a good personality. We all get old and ugly some day........if we're lucky!
