There's no abbreviation. If you have a VIRUS you are SCREWED. Unfortunately MS didn't make a "You have a virus - you arescrewed." icon.

Best I could say would be a guy with a dirty big screw through him.

As for what 3 letter code they use, they use many - .exe, .sys, .inf and many others that are the same as genuine files on your computer. If you are hunting viruses then you need protection; make sure you have had all your shots as some of them b\viruses are nean and nasty.

If you got a virus then your A/V is either out of date or not doing its job. Uppdate or trade it in.

There is no abbreviation for a virus.

Once you have a virus in your computer then you are screwed.

You can either get rid of it your self or you are unlucky enough to have to pay for it to be removed, i payed £40.
