In reality, it has become the capital of the Philippines. In fact, it is the legislative capital of the nation. Manila only retained the executive. Culturally, Manila should be because historically, it always been the capital. Entertainment-wise, Quezon City seems to be although Makati has become now. Makati is the business capital, but Quezon City, particularly the Libis side is becoming a business center too. Culturally speaking, it is becoming the center too, specifically education centers - the Diliminan side. And how about religious centers? Cubao is the seat of the new diocese... Likewise, Novaliches, which has become a new diocese too, is also in Quezon city. So, why not?

Quezon City already had its day as the capital of the Philippines. There is no need to revert back to having it again as the capital.
Manila has long been known worldwide as the capital of the country even when QC was still the one. And aside from being the seat of central government, Manila has long been the source of the world renowned Manila Hemp and Manila Paper, just a few of those things that made Manila famous, making many other nationalities believe that Manila was the capital even then. So, why change that?

No. Manila carries a lot more culture and speaks more of our history and our people. Although it has fast becoming urbanized, it still has that Filipino charm merely facing the "glorious" Manila bay (although we are still trying to restore and preserve what's left of it)....or strolling along Luneta Park eating "Mangang Hilaw" dipped in "Bagoong" or walking ancient Intramuros takes you back to its early beginings.
The word Manila alone says it all!

Hey, what's this about Luzon being the center of the Universe? Move it to a more central place, like Cebu. :-)
