I'm a guy and I'm 14 ( getting 15 at May :)) I don't talk at school because I'm too shy to talk, even i can't answer my teachers questions because of the same reason. But i can talk to my old friends because I think it's much more easier to talk to friends than teachers. I don't know how to be more confident to say anything or answer anything because I have a test that makes me to talk but I'm not confident enough. Please help !!

I am shy, but a public speaker and lead vocalist/rhythm guitar player in a rock band. I still get real nervous every time, but here are some tricks...
(1) Imagine yourself doing great. Think of how you'll feel years from now if you just decide to nail "it".
(2) Learn to breathe deep. It regulates your heart beat.
(3) Embrace your fear. Fear will try to make you afraid of even being afraid. Don't be afraid of feelings of fear. 99% of your fears will never happen. The 1% that does is never as bad as you feared it would be...
(4) If you're afraid because of the way you look, talk... or because of things you've done that were wrong, talk to God about them and get these things settled with Him.

sounds like you're afraid of what people you are talking to will think of you.you are your own worst enemy.tell yourself that you are a smart lovable guy and can actually do the work set out for you.you can achieve whatever you set yourself to do cos it really is true that nothing is impossible it is how much guts you have.sounds like ur a nice guy and you shouldnt let what people think get you down.to practice being confident make small talk with someone on a bus or waiting in line for something, someone you dont know cos that way you probably wont be seeing them again and it wont really matter if you screw up or they dont think highly of you.over time with practice you will get better(take it from me a former shy 14 yr old)

Confidence comes when you know you are doing the right thing and have taken the right decision .How to know you have taken the right decision : By having the power of knowledge .How to get knowledge: By analysing the situation or problem ,looking into the various prespectives and coming to a conclusion.
have brainstorming sessions with your parents or your friends with whom you are comfortable on any topics till your comfortability zones increase.Spend more time on reading productive books ,magazines and googling in whichever topics or areas you have doubt.See to that whenever you speak you have a very steady flow of language and ideas.Hope these ideas are useful to you

You must be really worried about this if your up at 4AM and your only 14!

My simple answer to this is "Martial Arts!"

I am in my mid thirties now, however I was just like you many moons ago. My cousin got me into "Tae Kwon Do" and my life changed forever!

Try it...you won't be sorry!!!

You can even request "private" lessons at first.

I just looked this "source" sight up real quick for you. Remember there are many forms of martial arts..."karate, jujitsu, judo, etc..." do a little research and find the one that is best for you!

Best Wishes!!!

I had the same problem. What I did was to raise my chin, stand tall and talk loudly, because I knew if I sat back and did nothing I would be like that for the rest of my life.
Try it, even if you think you might look ridiculous, they won't notice.

well, i USED to have the same problem but i got over it! you just need to trust yourself and what you have! these teachers that you can't talk to is probably not shyness but scared that you probably answer wrong and the whole class will make fun! WELL NOBODY IS PERFECT! these teachers are not any different from us, they are all human as we are!

You need to get out more and socialize. You'll only come out of your shell that way.

no one's shy to talk. just talk. i mean the people who you are comfortable with, you talk to them naturally.

just try to become comfortable with people who you want to talk to.

but if you want to become more confident, set a goal, and achieve it. you'll feel accomplished.
