I WAS PULLED OVER FOR SPEEDING. MY SON WAS IN THE BACK SEAT. THE OFFICER ASKED ME FOR MY LICENSE AND REGISTRATION. I COMPLIED. HE SPENT QUITE SOME TIME AT HIS VEHICLE AND CAME BACK ASKING ME IF I HAD A CRIMINAL HISTORY. LIKE A DUMMY I SAID YES, I FIGURED HE HAS THAT INFORMATION ACESSIBLE ANYWAY, SO WHY LIE. HE WENT BACK TO HIS VEHICLE AND CAME BACK AND ASKED ME IF I HAS ANYTHING ILLEGAL IN THE CAR. I SAID NO. HE ASKED ME, "IF I SEARCH YOUR VEHICLE AND FIND ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS, I WILL CALL CHILD PROTECTION SERVICES AND YOU'LL GO TO JAIL." I SAID NO AGAIN. HE ASKED THE QUESTION AGAIN AND THREATENED TO RUN A TOXICOLOGY BLOOD TEST ON ME. I ADVISED HIM THAT I NEEDED TO SPEAK WITH MY ATTORNEY. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME ONE MORE CHANCE TO COME CLEAN. I HAD PRESCRIPTON MEDICATION, BUT HE SAID I POSSESSED IT ILLEGALLY. I TOLD HIM TO CONTACT MY PHARMACY AND WAS ARRESTED ON POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.

He followed proper procedure. If you truly had a prescription for your medication, you can contest the charges in court.

Of course, whether or not you're allowed to operate a motor vehicle after taking whatever medication you're taking is an entirely different matter...

It sounds like he did everything by the book. Sorry.

.... and that's how they catch thugs and deadbeats!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself exposing your son to your criminal activities.

And, yes, the office was within his right. All he needs is probable cause.
