I think you mean paranoia. Though schzophrenics sometimes have that as well.
Please find a doctor or a counsellor to talk to.

I agree with many of the answers. It sounds like paranoia to me also. I'm just wondering what you think you will be caught at. Often fear can come from guilt or someone that has made you feel that way. You need to see someone before it gets out of hand and interferes with normal life. As far as schizophrenic, I don't think that's the case, because most people don't recognize that without a diagnosis. You mentioned not telling your mom and that she would think she would think that you would be silly. This to me is a warning sign of fear of her judgement. Please go talk to your doctor, there is so much he can do. And if you don't want your mom to know (yet), there is patient confidentially. Please do so, otherwise it will make it worse..........Good Luck!!

It is unlikely that you have paranoid schizophrenia because the delusions and hallucinations you would be experiencing would make it too difficult for you to recognize that you may have schizophrenia. The fact that you are able to verbalize that you feel people are after you and the cause may be schizophrenia is a pretty clear indication that you don't have the thought impairment that is prevalent among schizophrenics. You need to see a physician or psychologist immediately.

Sounds more like paranoia to me. A little paranoia isn't unusual, and the fact that you recognize that it is a problem may actually be good. A good psychiatrist or psychologist can help you determine whether it's a full blown mental disorder which needs treatment, or just a natural part of your personality which you can control with some help.

not necessarily schizo. sounds more like paranoia to me. it depend s on how you act when u experience these symptoms. schizo is right out nutty behavior that stops you from living normally. thats why they are hospitalized. cause they are a danger to themselves and others . paranoia is different cause i think that there are many levels to it . the worst being paranoid schizophrenic of course but i am no doctor. so i think if you havent hurt yourself or others then most likely youre not schizo. but again that my own opinion. i will tell you that jesus can fix that for ya. hes the greatest healer in the world. :) :) Hope this helps.

Don't tell you mum then, tell someone else; a teacher, a counsellor, call childline 0800 1111, go to your doctor even. The most important thing is that you realise you have a 'problem' and that in fact there are not people after you, it's in your mind. - This makes you very sane and very sensible - don't forget that!
