but is there a chance of the virus still being present in some undetectable area?

Yes.
Turn off system restore, then turn it back on, this will delete all restore points, and any chance of you getting it again, because it is actually being stored on your computer in the restore files.......

yes it is good u restore your os but it's nt a final solution. becuase there is also chance to virus come back ur pc so better option u use the any antivirus software so use internet safe way becuase most probably virus comes in pc through internet. so be aware!....

At Last no security better than Physical Security....

Possibly, but be sure to update your antiviruses again because the definitions get rolled back too.
The viruses are going to stay in the system restore folder (C:/System Volume Information) because of the "undo restore" option.

Go to my computer, click properties, go to system restore, flick it off, click apply, then flick it back on so infected points will be removed.

Yes. You should install a reliable anti-virus program for all-time monitor to avoid new virus to get in your computer. Try BullGuard antivirus, a full version of the software is available for a 2-month trial. Its really great. type in seek and destroy
and ad aware

use those two programs to remove anything you don't want on your computer.
