I used to be schizophrenic.... heard voices and stuff ....., kind of felt that the entire world was out to get me, i even thought there was a video camera spying on me in my bedroom, living room... and that a bugging device was planted somewhere on me or my bag etc etc.....
IMHO, i think that it causes an inability to live in reality, sometimes u may know that the voices/hallucinnations are not exactly real from a logical point of view, but u may not want to believe that the voices are fake. Most of the time, a person with schizophrenia have warped perceptions of how they see the world and themselves. Also, the cognitional part of their mind maybe affected to a certain extent, particularly in terms of memory and language.
Supposedly schizophrenia is due to certain chemical imbalances in the brain, such as excessive or too little neurotransmitters.I think there could be underlying reasons
that cause schizo, such as maybe a lack of want to face up to reality and so on, though the motivations of schizophrenia are not really currently known.
Supposedly, people who suffer from schizophrenia do not know that they are schizo. However i believe it is possible for a person who suffers from mild schizophenia to realise the symptoms(if they are rational enough) and take certain measures against it.

Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that affects about 1 percent of people all over the world. People with schizophrenia sometimes hear voices others don’t hear, believe that others are broadcasting their thoughts to the world, or become convinced that others are plotting to harm them. These experiences can make them fearful and withdrawn and cause difficulties when they try to have relationships with others. Symptoms usually develop in men in their late teens or early twenties and women in the twenties and thirties, but in rare cases, can appear in childhood. They can include hallucinations, delusions, disordered thinking, movement disorders, flat affect, social withdrawal, and cognitive deficits. Although the causes of the disease have not yet been determined, current treatments can eliminate many of the symptoms and allow people with schizophrenia to live independent and fulfilling lives in the community.

Seems to be some poor person that never "saved up" and has a story that dosen't "add up". Maybe forgot to remember anything for the next cool "work application". They try to get in with what ever and even whatever dosen't keep them. Eventually their personality goes "dark-side" and they demand to be so obscure, even the almanac dosen't know about them. they tend to group well with gypsies, devil wrestlers, injured stunt-men, glecks, religious babblers, and people with accents.
