D = 1/2GR
multiply both sides by 2
2D = GR
divide both sides by R
2D/R = G

G = 2D/R

You really should have written this problem as d = (1/2)gr. As you have it written, it could be interpreted as d = 1/(2gr), which is an entirely different problem. Just to cover all the bases, I'll show you how the last form is solved also.

Just manipulate all the variables around so that you isolate g by itself on one side of the equation, just as you would any other algebraic equation:

d=1/2gr
(2)d = 2(1/2)gr
(2d)/r = (gr)/r
(2d)/r or 2(d/r) = g

Both of the expressions on the left side of the equation on the last line are equivalent.

In some ways, solving the last form of the equation is easier than the first. because all we have to do is invert both sides and divide.

d = 1/(2gr) ----> 1/d = 2gr/1 = 2gr ----> (1/d)/2r = 2gr/2r (cont'd. below)
----> 1/(2dr) = g

Abit blur abt what u ask..
1) D = GR/2
G = 2D/R

2) D = 1/(2GR)
G = 1/(2DR)

it can be like this...

if d=1/(2gr) then g = 1/(2dr)

if d=(1/2)gr then g= (2d/r)
