My son has got two lower teeth. Now is the time for upper ones and he is having a lot of problem than before. He has been in pain since about 1 week now and has completely stopped eating or taking his juice. He simply does not like bottle in his mouth. He does not open his mouth also. He just keeps making noise. He has also become cranky. Day after day this problem is increasing and today he is also clinging to me a lot. His sleep is also getting disturbed.
I have tried to give him medicine but I do not want to do that everyday.
I am giving him homeopathic tablets since he started teething.
No teething rings or teethers, spoon are helping him.
I gave him biscuits which he use to like but now even that is not good enough.
Should I put lemon juice on his gums? How effective is that and what does it do? I personally would not like lemon juice on my swollen gums.
I have also tried putting honey on his gums but this time that is also not effective. I give him my finger to bite on.

i too would try and have done the wet frozen wash rag. It helps and it your giving him the right amount of medication as on box or what your doctor says is good for him you should not worry about him getting addicted. It is like you taking Tylenol and getting addicted.

Never give an infant honey! It can cause a form of botulism and even lead to death.

Try soaking the corner of a washcloth with water, twist it, and put it in the freezer. Let him suck on the frozen part, it will feel good on his gums.

Good luck.

Try rubbing a teething gel like Bonjella on his gums, it will work and numb his pain for a while. If he is getting a temp wit the teething you should try and get it back down with a cold compress. Poor thing.
