Been watching out for him since Rumblefish. Really enjoyed most of his work. Really liked Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Leaving Las Vegas.
Birdy, Wild At Heart, Guarding Tess and Captain Corelli's Mandolin were entertaining. Red Rock West wasn't too bad.

Coming from the other side, Vampire's Kiss was probably the least convincing role I'd seen him perform, but considering the role, it's easy to understand.

I own over half the films he's been in and I think it's partly because of the chemistry he often helps create with his leading ladies (where there are such). Of course, it probably helps when you get to act with Cher, Diane Lane, Kathleen Turner, Holly Hunter, Penelope Cruz, Elizabeth Shue, Shirley MacLaine, Bridget Fonda, Angelina Jolie....)

I haven't seen City Of Angels (own it, haven't gotten around to it), ditto World Trade Center. Haven't seen Weather Man, Next or Ghostrider. Ghostrider preview looks promising.

Nicolas Cage isn't one of my favorite actors but I generally enjoy his movies. My favorites would be Matchstick Men (although the ending bothered me), Con Air, The Rock, and Face/Off.

Although I generally like him, I do think many of Cage's role tend to be different flavors of the same character. On the other hand, there are probably one 5-6 big name actors who can do anything (namely Tom Hanks and Gary Oldman).

Ugh, not a fan of Nick Cage. He usually looks like he's trying wayyyyy too hard.

However, he was good in Leaving Las Vegas.
