Final Fantasy V the battle system was really good, It was the first one that had the changing jobs system that they reused in X2. I liked the way that final fantasy IX was portrayed as well. It showed that the game isn't about graphics it's about a story line that engrosses you and a playable game that keeps you fulfilled.

I admit it whith my hands in the air, I cried when Aeris died. Final Fantasy 7 was the first fully 3D Final Fantasy created and it was a damn fine game. 3 discs of months of gaming, mini games galore as well as back stories to the main story itself!
Those arent just the only reasons why this game was the greatest, the fact that a movie was produced to continue the story as well as 2 more games (PS2 and Mobile).
FF8 was good, but the 'realism' kinda ruined the whole fantasy feel that was in all the previous games but mainly because Squall's attitude was pissing me off.
Anyway, FFVII all the way!!

Final Fantasy 4 and 6. Both had complex plots. Nothing beats the classics.

I only played 7, 8, 9. I liked 7 the best cuz, the story was really good and they had really good features like mini games, and i especially enjoyed the part where cloud had to dress up as a woman to meet the enemy's boss. The story was best. They also have a film on ff7. It's something called, children of avalanche blah blah. The graphic is great and i think it's way better than the ff film -the one about alien ghosts.

7 and 12, hands down. 7 had, to me, the best storyline of any final fantasy, it was moving, intense, and overall captivating and a revolutionary game at the time in my opinion. And 12 is just freakin HUGE. I mean the games massive I clocked in over 160hrs and I still have stuff to do on there, the main stories pretty good, but its the playability that keeps me, the main game a measly 30-40 hours if you just wanna beat it(thats with messin around) but the game has so much to do its popostrus. but both in their own ways are simply awesome games.

My favorite has to be FF6, which is also FF3 on the snes. Great game, beautiful story and awesome characters. I still play that game every now and then. Tons of replay value. FF8 would probably be my second favorite..

I'd say 8. It was the one that I got into the most and the cut scenes were quite moving....I was also strangely attracted to the main female character.
