I love King! I have been reading his stuff since I was in middle school. I love The Stand, It, Needful Things, -The Long Walk - and another that hasn't been mentioned yet - Insomnia. I know it didn't turn out huge $$$ on the best sellers or favorite list, but I love it. Warning - it is slow to get into. At first, I thought, "Oh my gosh! A King book I don't like!!!" But, I kept reading and gave it a chance and it was fabulous!! After it was over, I cried because I had poured every spare minute into this book. I devoured the pages - and my thought after I closed the book - after reading the final page - was "what am I going to do with my spare time now?" Crazy, huh? Give it a chance. I relate it to the evil version of the Fates from myth. You know, they spin the yarn of life and cut it when it is your time to die. Only these little guys are like the gremlin-on-crack version of the Fates. BTW-my husband also loved it.

I buy them, so I like them all.
I couldn't get into " It ", I have a problem with Spiders,
and Clowns.
I wrote to Mr. King some years ago. He sent back
a signed card. I think he's too busy to do that now.
Do you get the News Letter about his TV appearances,
and new books? It's nice.
I've seen It In print that Mr. King says Clive Barker
Is the " Master of Horror ". He's not, King Is, and I think
King knew his fans would protest against It.
When asked who the " Master of Horror " Is?
I say, Stephen King.

Stephen King. STEPHEN. And I loved the Dark Tower series. All 7 books of it. But my favorite book by him is Hearts in Atlantis. I bawled while reading that book, it was that good.

I think the Dark Tower series is his best work, but it's also not saying much. And if you've read The Stand or Black House or the Amulet, they are interconnected with the Dark Tower series. So yeah.

I really liked The Shining and The Stand but my all-time favorite would have to be his collection of short stories in "Nightshift". I think I read those stories about 50 times when I was a teenager.

Needful things is amazing, but my personal favorites are The Stand and The Green Mile.
Did you know that Stephen King's own favorite of all his works is It? I read it on his official website.

After I finally finished it, I was like bummed I wouldn't be "hanging out" with the characters anymore.
