There are nude sculptures in temples, nude art like paintings and nude tribals, then why it is looked down? What is the difference between art and vulgarity.

Ther's nothing vulagar in being nude. a baby,a sick, an old, a mad, animals can b nude without hesitation and we don't find "nudity" there. But when we take pleasure out of it, it is "nudity" and that is sometimes "vulgar" to those who don't accept that they too enjoy it at times.
Art is nothing but an symbolic expression of a human mind, if it has "nudity" and "vulagarity" in its content, then his art is also "nude" and "vulgar".
All the above are my own opinion (mostly wrong, partly right)

I don't know. It's a fine line I guess. Whats art to one person might be stupid or vulgar to another.Culture has alot to do with it. Western culture even some Eastern culture view nudity as natural. Who invented the Karma-Sutra ,xample ? Europe is relaxed in their attitudes toward nudity. In a free open society everyone has a choice- hey!

Because in some societies "clothing maketh the man (or woman)".

If all of us were nude it would take away a lot of social class distinction.

Art is something as seen by someone who made it and nudity is something that we as people don't find especially pleasing to ourselves or others. If you prefer nudity, you can find a nudist
colony.

I figure that if there were more nudity in the world that it would eliminate some of the mysteries of lies. Quite possibly give us all something more to laugh about.
