I get aggravated with people's answers who have no idea what they are talking about. Women with PCOS have higher risks of miscarriages. The way to counter that is with metformin. Most good doctors have women stay on metformin for at least the first trimester (although some say the whole pg). With my last pregnancy, I was on it for the first trimester. Ask your doctor.

Pray dear friend Pray! Prayer is very powerful! A good book that has helped me is "Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie Omartian. Believe & speak positive! Ask the Lord to take away any fearful & negative thoughts.
In 1Timothy1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Philipians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm127:3
3 Children are a gift from the LORD;
they are a reward from him.

I pray the best for you & your baby!

Discuss your concerns with a doctor. If he/she feels this ia a high risk pregnancy, he/she may put you on bedrest orgive you other options and ideas on how to avoid miscarriage. Only a doctor can truely help you with this one. And most of the time if you are going to miscarry it doesn't matter what you do. That baby wasn't meant to be, and maybe something wasn't right with the baby developmentally. I know a woman who was pregnant with twins and lost them both..was devastated but found out they both had severe chromosome abnormalities that would have rendered them unable to survive outside the womb. I know that's hard to believe and most women blame themselves, but it isn't fair to think you caused it to happen. Just talk to your doctor about your concerns and do whatever he/she feels is best for you. And remember, many women go on to have normal, healthy babies after miscarriages, including my mother!

I'm sure you are worried but please remember that this is a different baby and there is no reason to suppose it will happen again. Relax, enjoy your pregnancy and try not to worry. Go for your regular checks, use it as an excuse to get everyone else to do the housework for you. Take lots of lovely walks and get some early nights and try not to stress.

please try not to worry, that won't do you or your unborn baby any good.

There's no medical evidence to suggest that PCOS is linked to miscarriages/

I have PCOS and although it took me 2 years to conceive I am now 30+ weeks pregnant with my first, no complications with the baby.

I can understand why you would be so worried but honestly try to relax, it's so much better for you both.

Talk to your partner/husband and your GP or midwife about your concerns, they will give you the support and he reassurance that you need.

I hope everything goes well for you.

I know how you feel. I have had 4 miscarraiges and am currently 7 weeks pregnant. I feel fantastic this time. Have all those lovely symptoms and I rest quite alot thoughout the day. Please stay positive and relax. I know this is easier said than done but do try. Remain calm, sleep/rest regularly and eat well. Also make sure you take folic acid. I wish you luck and happiness when your new baby arrives. Please enjoy your pregnancy. xxx
