i've heard that its best for kids to go to bed before 11,because that's when the tissues and cells start repairing themselves. And i also heard that it's good 2 take a nap in the afternoon. However, after taking a nap in the afternoon, the earliest i can go to bed at night is around half past 11 or 12. So does that affect the repairing process?

No, that difference of half an hour or 1 hour will not affect but you should aim to get 8 to 10 hours of sleep (from your question I am thinking that you are a kid). If you are physically active in the day, it should not be difficult to sleep. If you are not sleepy, try to do your home work or try to read some science subjects and you will sleep soon enough.

actually the old adage 8 hrs. is normal could be more or less depending on the person , and the body repairs its self when ever you sleep.
