Guess you don't know of dynasties do you? How about the Steelers? They went through most of the 70's and STILL the ONLY team to win 4 Superbowls in 6 years. How about the Packers in the 60's. Last team to win three straight NFL Titles, the first being before the Superbowl, maybe only one I don't know about the pre-Superbowl era. You have the Cowboys. Come on NO QB has won more games in a 10 year span then Aikman. Like him or not he still has that record. They were also the FIRST to win 3 Superbowls in 4 years. Last one is the 49ers. They were dominate and if they wouldn't have been losing the dynasty while competing with the Cowboys one of the teams might have been more dominate. Heck if you don't want to just go by Superbowls then the Steelers have had another dynasty. Average record over the last 15 years was 10-6 if you look at Cowher's regular season record. It would also include 6 AFC Championship game Appearences, 2 Superbowl Appearences and 1 Superbowl Title. Although I don't consider the Patriots a dynasty anyway I think you are taking credit from a lot of teams that were. The Steelers under Cowher weren't either by my definition for the record. My definition is using the same players to get the job done. That is why it isn't likely to be done during the Free Agency period.

With all do respects to the Steelers, and maybe the Cowboys, but I would have to say the San Francisco 49ers! This team has put together a winning dynasty at a much quicker rate than the other two fore mentioned teams! It took the Steelers almost 3 decades to achieve 5 superbowl wins, and it took the Cowboys almost the same amount of time! The Niners on the other hand dominated pretty much the 80s winning 4 of championships, 2 back to back and coming back a couple years into the 90's and taking another one!

Starting in 1972 and ending Jan. 21 1980, the Steelers dominated football. They won or shared the Central Division title in every year but 1973, won 4 Super Bowls, lost only 4 playoff games during this time, and had a winning percentage lower than only 2 teams over that span.(Raiders, Rams) Also, if anyone remembers, the AFC Central was the toughest division in the NFL from 1974-1980. The Patriots play in possibly the weakest divison in the AFC now.

The greatest dynasty I can think of is the Pittsburgh Steelers under Coach Chuck Noll. Sorry, Cowboys fans, but we beat you down back in the 70s (You got us in 1996, I know...). The 80s had the Montana-Rice-Young San Francisco 49ers, and the early 90s had the Aikman-Smith Dallas Cowboys (You get this decade *grumblemoan*). Of course, there's a case for the Patriots being the team to beat in the 00s. Depends on who gets to the next three Super Bowls before I make the judgement.
I'll give two other teams honorable mentions for almost being dynasty teams: The early 90s Buffalo Bills (couldn't win one out of a sequential four), and the late 60s- late 70s Minnesota Vikings (also couldn't win one out of four).
As I said, I reserve judgement on the Pats until the end of the decade.

The Patriots run in this free agent era has been impressive. They deserve to be mentioned right there along with the '60s Packers, the '70s Steelers, and the '80s 49'ers. But I think the best team ever was the '90s Cowboys. They drafted amazingly well during those seasons. Thank God free agency slowly ended their run.

It's not the Pats. People who have only been watching football for like 5 or 10 years would think its the Pats. Its the Niners of the 1980s. Debatably, there were a lot of teams that were dominant of the years. And, since you could put them all very close to eachother, the niners win by default. They have the two players most widely known as the greatest QB and WR of all time. And, regardless of the critics, they are the best BIG GAME QB and WR in history. Niners Baby!

I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I would say the Cowboys. They did it in the 70's and the 90's. Beats the Patriots... and 49ers too. But I think the 49ers dynasty was better than the Patriots too.

That is a simple answer....it has to be the 1980's 49ers. Come on man, the Patriots? That wasn't dominance, that was many game winning field goals. The 80's 49ers exuberated dominance over anyone at anytime. (Well, exept for the 1985-86 Bears).

That might be so, but I think the Bears have the most wins in NFL history, at 671.
Maybe recently you can say the Pats, but when you say most dominant, Pats do not even come close to THE BEARS.
Do your research and stop listening to the media.
Pats all time record: 355-356-9
Bears all time record: 671-495-42
