I assume everyone will tell me to take a pregnancy test. I've already done that! My friend took 6 pregnancy tests before it actually showed though! I do think that I have the symptons though. My mom thinks I am too. I'm irritated, bloated, nauseous, and my periods have been irregular. That's not normal for me. Any suggestions anyone????

These are the 10 most common signs you are pregnant:

10. Do you have tender, swollen breasts?
Sensitive, sore breasts are one of the early pregnancy signs because of higher levels of hormones.

9. Do you feel exhausted all of a sudden?
Fatigue is also an early pregnancy sign. You feel sleepy more often, and during odd hours of the day.

8. Did you have a light bloody discharge?
About 12 days after the egg is fertilized, you might have noticed a small amount of vaginal bleeding that lasted for a day or two. It doesn't necessarily mean a period. It is possibly caused by the egg hooking itself into the blood-rich lining of your uterus. Watch out, however, if the discharge is accompanied by pain. See the doctor right away as it can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.

7. Nausea
Well you've been having that and it doesn't necessarily occur in the morning. Mine was evening sickness. When I was pregnant, I would throw up when the night begins to fall.

6. Are you extra sensitive to smells?
Pregnant women are often repelled by odors that were otherwise tolerable when they weren't pregnant. It can be certain perfumes or colognes, or flowers, or baby powder, or fried foods. It's normal for pregnant women to suddenly hate the food they used to enjoy.

5. Bloated abdomen
Well you did say you are bloated. A more unmistakeable sign is when your pants won't fit as nicely around your waist anymore. Bloating is caused by hormonal changes

4. Do you pee more often nowadays?
Pregnancy causes your body to retain more fluids, therefore causing you to make more trips to the bathroom than usual.

3. You missed a period
This is easy if you have a regular period. But if you have irregular periods, this is one of the signs you notice last.

2. is your basal body temperature high?
If you've been charting your basal body temperature and you see that your temperature has stayed elevated for 18 days in a row, you're probably pregnant.

1. A positive home pregnancy test
In spite of what you might read on the box, many home pregnancy tests are not sensitive enough to detect most pregnancies until about a week after a missed period. So if you decide to take one earlier than that and get a negative result, try again in a few days. Once you've gotten a positive result, make an appointment with your practitioner.

Congratulations!

The same thing happened with me when I was pregnant with my 4 year old. The doctor gave me a "urine" pregnancy test and the results were negative. She said I was suffering from indigestion and gave me medication. I got home a vomited terribly! I then went to the ER. They took a blood test and I was pregnant. If you have primary care doctor see if he will order the blood work. If you don't insurance or are low income, check your around to see if there are any clinics that can assist you. If no help is available you might need to wait it out for a week or two or you might just want to go to the ER, especially if the irregularity in your periods are causing you to spot. That happened with my 5 year old and I had no clue I was pregnant. Anyways, good luck! I hope you get the outcome you want-pregnant or not.

Sorry i have to laugh at some of the answers you have been given, if you were pregnant you wouldn't have the symptoms of nausea bloated ect , if your periods are irregular might mean infection , saying that though i cant understand why your friend had to take 6 tests they are meant to show if you are or not pregnant within one test, its very rare to have a period if yoUr are pregnant, i think that way only a blood test at ur gp would show if you were pregnant

Try waiting a few weeks and try taking another test. In the mean time try to relax as best you can and don't do anything to your body that might hurt the baby just in case. Stress can cause the symptoms you are refering to and so can a change in hormone levels.
