What are some jobs that you can do at age 15, and how do i advertise my services? I love animals; dogs, horses, cats, etc. I am not really into kids so i dont want to babysit too much... maybe ill try it a few times though. Is it possible to get a job at some kind of animal shelter or humane society at 15, or do you have to be 18 or older? Also i am assuming that they just have volunteers and don't pay money... is this true?

A good way to make money at a young age is to start your own small business. Since you said you like animals a good idea would be trying to be a dog walker. Lots of people work all day long and would probably love you have someone give their dogs walks during the day to make sure the dogs are getting plenty of exercise, rather than being cooped up in the house all day. You can make your own hours, and charge your own rates...try printing off some flyers and putting them in people's mail boxes in your neighborhood. Good luck

I think you need to go ahead and visit most of the animal clinics and shelters and see the work conditions and see if you can make a difference. One you decide which one is in real need of help and support, then ask for an employment application and fill it out very professionally and provide references as well on who they can contact to inquire on how good you are in working with animals. After you submit the application, give them a call after 3 working days and ask them if they had a chance to review your application and if an interview is possible.
After you get a date and time for an interview really make a good impression on who you are and how well you can work with animals. More importantly give them some ideas on what you can do to add value to their business.
Wishing you the very best and have a super day!

if you started off with volenteer work, and build up your experience , you may be able to get work with an animal shelter and etc, they wll either need experience, or mature age or good education...why arent you studying?
i dropped out in year 10 and i am regretting it so much right now and i am going back to tafe to complete my schooling soon, try to stay in school while its still free to get an education. you will regret it, you could get a very good job with animal shelters if you work at it, and it would be a goreat career,
only hard part is when you lose an animal :(
perhaps you could tal top a career advisor about traineeships in animal nursing area..
or get a job at a store as a register chick and save up some money to do a course thatll help you become exactly what you want to be

well as a student i would start maybe in some p/t job at either a retail store or a food place, or video store...after seeing the requirements of what you need to be considered, write a resume using your skills as the major catch area, things as communication, leadership etc, using exaples in jot/bullet notes form, you could volunteer somewhere and gain their experiance so at least you have a reference and expe. other then that add achievemnts and education.
By the way write a catchy and impressive cover letter when handing out resumes, give them reasons why you should get an oppurtunity to work for them.
Hope all goes well.

You could make posters and put them up on store bulletin boards to be a pet sitter, you would need to make a sheet of references though, and you'd have to be responsible for going to people's houses and feeding their pets while they were gone, locking up etc.
You could also work limited hours in a store as a clerk, depends on your state's laws how many hours.
You could do odd jobs, run errands for people, like raking leaves, shoveling sidewalks, getting groceries, walking pets, etc.
It would depend on your state laws about the shelters how many hours if you could etc so you'd have to call one and check but probably you'd get the "poop" end of the job deal by cleaning cages etc.
