It will work when put into a TMobile phone as long as the TMo phone has been unlocked. If it has you will have your Cingular service on your TMo phone. If not I believe it will say something like "Please insert sim" or "Enter in password". You would have to take it to a no name cell shop that can unlock the phone if it isn't already.

yes, it doesn't matter what kind of phone you use as long as it's not a pay as you go phone like a trac phone, and you of course still have your Cingular phone service.

Only if your phone is unlocked for all networks. Call your customer service number and tell them to unlock your phone for overseas use, then you can use it wherever and with what ever carrier you want, just make sure your phone supports the network.
