Yes, Pines Barens would probably be ranked #1 by most fans of the Sopranos. I think it is because it had the classic fight scene in the apartment with the russian, and another one in the woods. The audience is left wondering(will he come back), and the best dialouge between christopher and paulie.

My personal favorite is season #5's: Where's Johnny. It starts off with Phil Leotardo Shooting Lorraine through a phone book and saying, "look only made it through the R's. Next time..there won't be no next time. " Then we have paulie and feech going at it with the landcapers getting the worst of it and paulie taking a lawnmower as callateral. And we start to really see signs of things to come from junior.

I can't pick a favorite. I love every episode and can hardly wait until next month. James Gandolfini will be on the cover of "Vanity Fair" magazine that comes out on March 13th.

Mine is in season 1 when Uncle Junior has those 2 black guys try to whack Tony, but one shoots the other in the head, and Tony runs over the other one.

i love all those episodes like you and the other guy mentioned when there are comedic moments...then there are the others that are very dramatic and full-on, like the one in season five where Adriana gets killed. she was one of my favourite characters so i didn't like seeing her end up like that, but it was very powerful.....
