Pick something you know nothing about. Sounds strange, but.....
If you know nothing then you will have to research the topic. You will only digest the interesting bits. If you find them interesting, then other people will.
And if you know nothing about the subject, then chances are that the listeners won't either, and they won't be bored stupid with the usual run-of-the-mill presentations.
So, maybe not so strange after all?
