Ummmm...because that's what it is. I've made my share of mistakes & had my share of fun in the past. But I think that once you make the commitment to take those vows, it IS sacred. If you're not willing to make it that, don't get married. But it's all about what's sacred to you and your wife, not society. It doesn't matter what other people perceive marriage as, only the two of you. If you can make it work, that's what counts.

Why do you make unfair blanket statements thinly disguised as questions? I'm sorry if your lady hurt you, but you shouldn't take it out on the entire gender.
