I have a pet milk snake, who just escaped. Am sure he's still in the
basement. Any advice on how to quickly get him back?
Need to find him asap!

yup, definately check the warmest spots in the basement...

here's how i trapped a loose cornsnake one time:

find a tall clear glass vase or jar, drop a live food item in there (whatever size you need, pinky, hopper, adult) and put some stuff around the glass as climbing material (like those wooden ladders sold at petstores for birds, or a tree branch accessory thing). what happens is the snake gets hungry, sees the food, and eventually figures out to crawl into the jar, get the food, but can't get out due to the glass sides.

put this device somewhere warm...and it doesn't always work, snakes don't always figure out that they have to climb up to get to the opening.
