His main weakness is terrible free throw shooting, for a star of his caliber he's got to be 75%+. In the playoffs this could really hurt them.
Another weakness I find is that he often doesn't have the passion.
By that I mean, he doesn't dictate games and aggression at times he needs to.
Other than that, he's got all the physical tools and skills to make him the best.

what are King James' weaknesses?
1. Free Throw %/shooting- LeBron can take virtually ANYONE to the cup. He's a strong finisher, but his free throw shooting donesn't make him anywhere as effective as he should be.
2. Defense- LeBron relies too much on Eric Snow and Larry Hughes to make defensive stops. With LeBron being such an imposing physical force on offense, it would only help himself and his team if he were more assertive on defense.
3. "Doing too much" The last time I checked the starting line-ups, Daniel Gibson was the point guard. Why is LeBron trying to play point-forward? The offense should be run through LeBron instead of Lebron running the offense through everyone else! If Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups were on the Cavs. LeBron's numbers would be higher and they would be the first seed easy.
4. his 3pt shooting- LeBron should be more selcetive in his 3 point shooting. That's what the absence of a true point guard will do. LeBron's out of position a lot of times when he's shooting that it's a miracle it goes in. If they had a PG to choreograph the offense it would allow LeBron to move without the ball and have better looks
5. all of the 4 reasons combined together is the reason why he's not a complete clutch player. He needs people to put him in the right position. Although he's been in the league for 4 years, remember he came out of high school. Instead of playing for an NBA championship he could be at Ohio State with Greg Oden.

LeBron's inability to dominate a game in a pressure situation is a weakness that is difficult to overlook. Maybe it's also because of the supporting cast made around him is weak.
Free-throw shooting is horrible. He should start "motivating" (aka scold) his teammates for being too passive and the fact that they always look to him to create offensive plays for the team. The guy's done all he can, those guys should step up.
LeBron doesn't have the killer instinct that Kobe Bryant has that finishes off a team with the time running down in the last quarter.
He should improve his perimeter game to become a more complete player. He can't always waltz in the lane for a jam or layup.

LeBron James has 2 main weaknesses. Free throw shooting and the weak roster surrounded by him. He hasnt been able to knock down those free throws, if you see Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, MJ, and Nowitzki, all those have the ability to knock down a big free throw in a cold-blooded way, he has also lost the will to drive (maybe its for the fear that he will get fouled and miss the FT's) but he should slash and drive more taking advantage of his athleticisim and speed. If you remember, he has knocked down pretty big shots in the playoff series against the Washington Wizards, and even in the regular season, but he has to have the will and the competitiveness to knock down a shot like Gilbert Arenas, he has to regain his confidence.
His teammates are also a big weakness. He has a 7 footer who has no movement in his feet...Ilgauskas is so slow, Donyell Marshall hasnt been consistent, Eric Snow has not provided the veteran leadership, Hughes has not been the 2nd scorer Cleveland desired...
Check his stats too, I dont know if he is tired or not, but he needs someone to take over when he is on the bench, due to the lack of a second scorer he has to be in the game all the time... His 3pt percentage is down, free throw percentage is down, his block numbers, steals, assists, rebounds.

he is physically very strong and he jump so high it's almost unstoppable to block him. I watch king james play few games and i found out he's few weakness and here is some list
- double team him because one person can not handle him
- do not let him close to the rim or else its another score for him or foul shot
- give him pressure by doing excllent D on him
remeber he used to play football and no wonder he is so aggresive and tough
every player and team has weakness but that does not matter long as the team has team play and truth each other, that is all it matters. example teams Dallas mavs and PHX suns

his 3-point shooting, his free throws, his performance in the clutch, his inability to really make his teammates better. his game has stagnated except for he is now a much better shooter, although still not a great one. he has problems helping the cavs close out games, he is a weak free-throw shooter (a problem for a slasher), and compared to melo, he is inexperienced and unreliable taking the last shot

Don't know about any weaknesses, but that man can shoot a mean basketball from all the way across the court and make it in.
I'm impressed, and that's doesn't happen often.

Being hailed as "King" James is a really bad label for someone who hasn't won anything. I know that the media tagged him with this label, but he seems to admire it too much.
