I applied at a certain job about a year ago and when i got called back for the interview i was unable to go [lack of a ride] but I re-applied then never got called back.

So when i saw that they were hiring for Seasonal Positions [xmas] i applied AGIAN. This time though, they sent me a post card saying:

"Hello, Thanks for taking the time to apply with us. While we're unable to offer you a position at this time, we do appreciate your interest."

Do they really mean that they can't hire me because there are no positions or is it more of a "please stop applying here, we're not going to hire you" type of thing???

The job is realllly awesome and the guy in charge of hiring really seemed nice, but it may have just been a fasle pretense. Should I just wait until the put up signs that they're hiring or do they really NOT want me and don't know how to tell me straight foward???

I beleive you are taking the reply a bit too personal.

I am sure they DONOT mean that you stop applying.
The kind of reply that you have got seems more of a auto mail response that organisations have , once they have filled in the position.
Since, this can also be due to some computer error etc., you must call up the organisation personally, and inquire about the job.
And this time make sure you appear for the interview in time!
Good Luck.

If you REALLY want to work there, get on the phone, ask for HR and ask for an interview.
Be persistant.

If you are turned down, get the name of the person who you talked to . Send them a letter, (no e mail) and say "Thank you for the opportunity to talk to you on the phone. i understand there are no current openings, but please keep me in mind should something develop. Here is my current resume for your reference,"

If , when they answer the phone and all they offer is mailbox, " never say, "I'll call back. Leave a message, say I'll call back, Tuesday around 2PM, ( example ) and I hope you might find it convenienet to talk to me.

One of two things will happen..You will never get anywhere, or they'll be impressed by your persistance. Go get 'em!

dear,

God gave everybody same abilities, but some of them utilize it some of them don't, you have to utilize your power of selection, and confidence in you. I would like to tell you some good tips of hiring, first of all apply for any position with confidence and don't show your weak point infront of interviewer and the third thing don't say no to anything infront of interviewer, the fourth thing you have to be incontact and make a list of friendz circle who tell you about the job.

It could mean either, frankly (though the language I hear most often for 'we're going with someone else' is 'we've selected an applicant who more perfectly fits our needs') If this is your dream job there's no real harm in keeping at it--the worst they can say is no (with full understanding that hearing 'no' is no fun.)
