Perfect is incredibly difficult to achieve with so many people of differing backgrounds, opinions and beliefs.
As long as all have respect for others, including their differences and are willing to learn and expand their understanding of one another, we'll be on our way. Basic human kindness, helping a neighbor or stranger in need. Helping the poor and feeding the hungry. Teaching by example as well as from experience. Reaching out to the lonely and guiding the young.
This may sound like a religious tirade but it isn't intended to be. If you think about it, these are things we should always do. With so many people on the planet, it doesn't make sense that we can't each enrich the life of at least one individual per day. It doesn't cost anything to give of yourself. An idea, a thought, a smile, words of comfort, encouragement.
"Drop a pebble in the water and it's ripples reach out far."
The poem in the following link has influenced me for decades. Check it out and pass it on.

Perfection of society is total freedom for yourself, and total freedom from everyone else if you desire. The problem is that these ideals are mutually exclusive, and cannot occur simultaneously for more than one person in a society.

The US comes pretty close, but we need one more amendment to the constitution:
The Right to be Stupid (and suffer the consequences thereof).
