If your prediction proves to be correct, the accusing fingers will point to various factors, such as the change of personnel (Schumi, Brawn, Martinelli, Stepney for example), long wheelbase, and the dropping of the single keel which Ferrari have stuck by for ages. The new driver duo will do what they can do, and I'm sure they will get out of the car as much as they can, but can they contribute to the car development in the way Schumi used to?
I think the Scuderia's performance throughout the year will depend on how they start the season; if they start poorly, they will be playing catch up and may cut corners and sacrifice reliability, and ultimately not be able to bounce back (a bit like in 2005). If they start brilliantly (if the results in the latest Bahrain test are indicative of their competitiveness), then they might keep going and win the championship (or come very close).
Do I agree with you? Well, none of us can be sure. May be there will be a drop, but I don't think it will be a "major" drop.

I will go with Bulty.......As Im a big fan of Schumi as well as Ferrari, I want it to win all the way through the season.......Its a known fact that Schumi's retirement is a matter of concern, but if you see the performance of Massa in the last season, you would'nt have asked such question and every one knows that Raikkonen is a good driver as well but, he was unable to get podium finishes coz of not getting the right car(I think) to drive. Now he is in Ferrari and Im sure that this will be the turning point in his career.....
In 2007 season, these two drivers will take Ferrari to new heights and bridge the gap that has formed due to the retirement of the great Schumi..............NMN

I think the reason they will drop mid season is mainly because the other teams have developments in the pipelines for the mid season. Ferrari tend to be a little rubbish at doing this unless their car is an absolute stinker. (which I doubt it is this year)
Mclaren should be at full force by then. Renault will probably have dropped in pace by then so they shouldnt be a threat but
BMW should be up there.
By mid season I expect them to be fighting with BMW for the second best team behind Mclaren.
Raikonnen is overated and Massa will be their prime driver.

I think it is going to be an interesting season. No dominating Schumacher for one. Massa already has a season with Ferrari and Raikkonen is a fast learner so I think the boys in red will do just fine. Let's see how Alonso does in that inferior McLaren.

Of course Ferrari has become much weakened by the retirement of Michael Schumacher. But I don't think it is correct to say that their performance will come down. Both Raikkonen and Masse are capable of winning races for them.

Ross Brawn's tactics were such a huge part of Ferrari's success - at least as much as Schumacher's driving - that I think the team will be middle of the pack for the foreseeable future.

rockpool248 is correct all the way. Hopefully Ferrari doesn't loose the testing momentum. But Schumacher himself didn't always test the fastest, but the car was great in race form ( except for 2005 ).

I think they would get stronger by mid season. They usually do it a little later on but my guess is that they would be quite strong by Mid season. :)

maybe, but i dont think so. I think Massa is going to dominate this season. I think kimi and alonso might a few wins between them, but massa will win the championship. Im telling you, look out for those BMW's! Kubica is a great driver

Depends on the weather conditions and tyres, if they have a strong start they will only get better.
