But seriously, "We're Going to be Friends" by The White Stripes or "Best Friend" by Weezer. "We're Going to be Friends" is a really sweet slow song (sweet as in emotionally) that reminds me of elementary school and laughing on the swingsets and catching bugs and all that childhood goodness. "Best Friends" is more a dedication to your best friend in a more fast-paced rock style.

"You're My Best Friend" by Queen is the best friend song I've ever heard. For a dark and roudy song try Cheap Trick's "My Best Friend" from the album Special One.

omg^ white stripes! do that do that! i can't believe i didn't think of that. I guess I don't think of it as pop rock so much. i love the white stripes more than anything.
